Refunds, Damages & Cancellations

At Homemade Lather Co., each product is handcrafted with care, and your satisfaction means everything to us. Due to the personal and single-use nature of our items, all sales are final. We do not accept returns or exchanges.

Product Transparency & Customer Responsibility

Homemade Lather Co. provides a complete list of ingredients for each product to support informed purchasing decisions, particularly for individuals with allergies or sensitivities. Customers are responsible for reviewing ingredient details prior to use. We disclaim liability for any adverse reactions, allergies, or skin responses resulting from product use.

A patch test is strongly recommended before applying any product to a larger area of the skin. When using multiple products, introduce each item individually to monitor your skin’s response effectively. Discontinue use immediately if irritation occurs and wait at least seven days before re-testing.

Due to the handcrafted and small-batch nature of our products, variations in color, texture, or scent may occur and are not considered defects. We do not accept returns or exchanges based on personal preferences such as scent, texture, or appearance.

By purchasing from Homemade Lather Co., customers acknowledge and accept these terms.

Damaged or Incorrect Items

While all sales are final, we understand that things can happen during shipping. If your item arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, please contact us within 24 hours of receiving your order. Include your order number and clear photos of the issue so we can evaluate the situation and offer a replacement or store credit if applicable.

Weather Sensitivity Disclaimer

Please note: Many of our products are handmade with natural oils and butters, which may soften or melt in high temperatures — especially during warmer months. While we take care to package items securely, we cannot control weather conditions during shipping.

Homemade Lather Co. is not responsible for melted or heat-damaged items once they leave our facility. To reduce the risk of melting:

  • Consider shipping to an address where someone can receive the package immediately.

  • Track your shipment closely and retrieve it promptly upon delivery.

  • Store products in a cool, dry place upon arrival.

Melted products are still perfectly safe and effective to use, though texture and appearance may change. Refunds or replacements will not be issued for items affected by heat.

Cancellations

Need to cancel your order? Please email us at info@homemadelather.com as soon as possible. Orders can only be canceled before they have been shipped. Once your order has been fulfilled and is in transit, it cannot be canceled.

Refunds

In the rare event a refund is approved, it will be issued to your original form of payment. Please allow 5–10 business days for your bank or card provider to process and post the refund to your account.

Please note: Gift cards are non-refundable and non-returnable.
